| Do you have corporate memberships? |
| The Club does not currently offer corporate memberships. Members frequently entertain business clients at the Club, and the Club has outing packages available. |

| Yes, the club is currently accepting applications for members for a limited number of spaces. |

| Is there a wait list? |
| We do not currently have a wait list. However, when we reach our Full Golf capacity of 450 members, we will start a wait list for golf memberships. |

| What is the membership process? |
| An applicant submits a completed application (available from the Membership Director or Front Office) to the Club. Each application must have two sponsor signatures. Upon receipt of the application, applicant's name(s) will be posted in the members' area for comment. The application will be considered at the monthly Board of Directors meeting following the two week posting period. |

| Do I need a sponsor for membership? |
| Yes, the club requires that two current members in good standing sponsor each applicant for membership. If you are new to the Northern Virginia area, the membership committee will meet with you to discuss sponsorship. |

| How much does it cost to join? |
| Mount Vernon Country Club is one of the best value clubs in the Northern Virginia area. For the current initiation fees, rates and dues, please contact our Membership Director. |

| Is MVCC an equity club? |
| Mount Vernon Country Club is a member-owned, non-profit stock corporation. Under the Articles of Incorporation, all new members are required to purchase one share of stock ($500). |

| No, the club does not currently have tennis courts. |

| Do you have golf programs for children? |
Yes! The Club offers an annual Junior Golf program, which other clubs often emulate, to help our junior members develop the necessary knowledge and etiquette required for enjoying the game. |

How many members do you have? |
The club caps its Full Golf memberships at 425, to ensure that our members have access to facilities, the golf course in particular, when they want them. The club has approximately 200 social members. |

| What golf programs are available to women golfers? |
| Mount Vernon Country Club members include some of the best female golfers in Northern Virginia! The club has three women's golf associations. The Ladies 9-Hole Group is open to amateur females who prefer to play 9-hole rounds. The group plays its events on Wednesday mornings. The Ladies 18-Hole Group is open to amateur female golfers who enjoy playing 18-hole rounds. The group plays its events on Tuesday mornings. The Career Ladies Golf Association has standing tee times on Saturday mornings and is open to women of all skill levels. |

| Is the club family-friendly/kid-friendly? |
| Absolutely! In addition to our Junior Golf program, the Club schedules events throughout the year with our youngest members in mind. Easter Egg Rolls, Mother/Daughter Tea, summer barbeques and movie nights at the pool, Halloween party and costume contest, and Breakfast with Santa are just a few of the activities for children at the club during the year. And for parents, our monthly Mom & Dad's Night Out provides food, movie and supervision for the kids in our Mount Vernon Room, while mom and dad enjoy a quiet night dining in Sam's Place. |

| What types of social activities are available? |
| In addition to golf tournaments, Mount Vernon Country Club provides its members with numerous social activities that allow members to meet each other in a fun, casual social environment. Our members enjoy monthly wine tastings, quarterly Texas Hold'Em poker tournaments, several bridge groups, pub-style trivia nights, gourmet wine dinners, crab feasts and clubhouse parties for Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, to name just a few of the exciting events throughout the year at the Club! |

| What is the guest policy? |
| Guests must be accompanied by members at the Club. Members may bring guests to club functions and dining facilities at any time. On the golf course, members are entitled to bring up to three guests on weekdays. Only one guest per foursome will be allowed before noon on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Only two guests per foursome will be allowed on Saturday, Sunday and holidays after 12 noon. The Chair of the Golf Committee must approve any exception to this policy. No guests are allowed on holiday mornings when a shotgun or double start format is used. Current guest fees are available in the Pro Shop. |
